Services
Contact me for a free conversation where we can discuss recommended services and answer any questions you may have. You ultimately decide how you would like to spend our time together. Below is a list of services my clients are typically interested in.
Social Media Profile: Employers may want to know what you’re up to...I can provide you with crucial information about your online first impression.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Assessment: The MBTI helps you identify your type, your preferences in how you perceive the world and make decisions. Your MBTI type can be used to guide you in career choices as well as navigating how to work with others. I can do an assessment and then help you understand your type.
Job Search: You’ve probably checked online for positions, but together we can refine your search to specific companies that will meet your needs in the short and long term. I believe in casting a wide net and then working as a team to determine your next steps.
Resume: We can discuss the anatomy of a resume, review and refine yours, and help you create more than one that can be used for different situations.
Cover letter: I can help you understand how a cover letter assists a hiring manager in fitting your qualifications (resume) into their job description. We can look at examples and write a cover letter for each position you are applying to.
Interview Preparation: We can research companies, review your interview wardrobe and discuss answers to potential questions you’ll be asked during your interview. With my one-page job interview prep sheet you will be able to prepare for each interview you have. We will also discuss important new hire information like benefits, vacation time, and salary negotiations.
Video Mock Interview: Ever wonder what you look like when you’re interviewing for a job? We can do a practice interview while taping your responses. After we review the video, we'll discuss areas of improvement so when the big day comes, you will be ready.
Business Etiquette: So you get the job, now what’s expected? We can discuss your new role, how to communicate up the chain of command, what’s appropriate and what’s not in the workplace, how to conduct yourself during business meetings, and any other questions you may have.

About Me
My career consulting experience started while working with hundreds of college students in developing their careers and navigating the job market. I have been fortunate to work at amazing institutions including MIT Sloan School of Management and Phillips Andover. How did it all begin? Well, after receiving an undergraduate degree in business management from Bentley University I worked as a business consultant. After years in the business world I wanted to go back to working with college students so I earned a master of education degree in administration of higher education from Suffolk University. It was during my first few years in higher education that I discovered my passion. While working in Career Services I really loved helping people find the career or job of their dreams. That is how I ended up with my ultimate dream, becoming a career consultant.
I'd like to be on your team to further develop the skills and tools you'll need to present and market yourself to your future employer. These skills will be lifelong and you will utilize them throughout your career. As your teammate, I take my role seriously. I want you to feel confident in your ability to find employment at all stages of your career, to build a professional network, and know how to articulate your experience and your dreams for success. I work 1:1 with my clients to fit their individual needs.

Success Stories
Practice interviews and resume building with Rachel helped me secure internships while earning my degree. Her tips for interviewing and reaching out to employers helped me get connected and ultimately find a challenging career by graduation. Nick Romano
One the best experiences I had while attending Wentworth Institute of Technology was cycling though the mandatory co-op semester. This was primarily due to working with Rachel Ziminski. As a first-year co-op student, with no professional experience in the AEC industry, the idea of finding a position was intimidating. Rachel enthusiastically guided me through the entire process and was my go-to resource for any questions or concerns I had. Her keen ability to recognize individual skills and strengths encouraged me to network with industry professionals and apply for positions with confidence. As a result, with her assistance, I landed the perfect first co-op internship. Rachel's tips on professionalism, interviewing and presentation, that she taught me during my junior year, are still used frequently today. Overall, working with Rachel was an invaluable experience and I strongly recommend her for any role where she serves as both a mentor and leader. Her advice is honest, her perspective is inspiring, and her positivity is contagious. Tracy Belben
Rachel was the Co-op Coordinator at Wentworth while I was in my Sophomore and Junior years there. She was extremely helpful throughout the Co-op process, and in my experience she always went the extra mile for her students. She wanted every one of her students to succeed and her students were always her top priority. She was an essential asset to the development and strength of my resume, both with the intention of finding my Co-ops, and my job after school. After she left Wentworth, we still remained in touch and without hesitation, she provided great advice and guidance while I was interviewing and negotiating for my first job out of school. Alex Hebert
